Duties and Responsibilities:

Social Media

  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to build and execute social media strategy
  • Develop compelling content and maintain day-to-day activity across all social channels
  • Monitor, engage with and grow an online community
  • Market cruises to digital influencers, brand ambassadors and consumers
  • Craft and execute creative ways to engage with community through contests, giveaways, stunts and free cruises
  • Moderate user-generated content within the social media community
  • Maintain and safeguard brand voice and message strategy across networks
  • Manage an editorial calendar
  • Create budget and content for paid social media; adjust buys based on ad performance
  • Optimize company pages and profiles within each platform to increase visibility of company’s social content

Digital Marketing

You must be 18 years or older. Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card is required for this position. We offer training for all U.S. Coast Guard / DOT required skills along with CPR and First Aid training. 

The tour guide is primarily responsible for providing the tour commentary to passengers aboard Mercury fleet as the tour travels through the Chicago River and into Lake Michigan. They must memorize extensive factual history of Chicago and its architecture. They must have the ability to communicate effectively and speak clearly. They are required to interact in a professional manner with the public on a regular basis and must appear personable. The tour guides are marine crew and must be trained as deckhand as well as learn the tour. Acting skills a plus, but not required.
